Our methodology

Tyron Clark

Our mission is to help forge confidence in organisations in dealing with crisis. Every organisation is unique; a ‘cookie-cutter’ crisis management product will not prepare yours effectively. We commit to analysing, evaluating, and tailoring a crisis management improvement plan based on the core principles of ISO 22361 – Security and Resilience – Crisis management – guidelines for a strategic capability.

Ty Clark – Principal Adviser

Ty is the founder and Principal Consultant of Preventium, an evidence-based crisis management consultancy based in North West Tasmania. He brings almost 25 years of domestic experience in crisis, emergency, and incident management — not only first-hand experience responding to emergency events, but a deep appreciation for the value of strengthening an organisation’s capability to deal with the incidents and crises that directly affect it.

Ty holds an Executive MBA and a Graduate Certificate in Organisational Resilience, complemented by a Diploma in Public Safety (Fire Management) PUA50513, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, and Control a Level 3 Incident PUAOPE019A. He has also completed the Australian Institute of Police Management – Strategic Command Program.

Across his career with a Tasmanian emergency service, Ty has applied this knowledge in practice — as Incident Controller of hundreds of Level 1 and 2 incidents across various hazard types, and several Level 3 bushfires in Tasmania. He also performed a planning function supporting the North West Tasmania Regional Emergency Management Committee in its response to the initial COVID-19 outbreak in North West Tasmania in 2020. By combining theoretical knowledge with frontline emergency experience, Ty has developed a comprehensive skill set for successful crisis and incident management.
